HI

I have a new Dell monitor which I'm trying to connect to my laptop. It looked in the monitor instructions like I should be able to connect using the USB-B (monitor end) to USB-A (Laptop end) wire. But there is no display, although the laptop did recognise the device. The only other cables are Display Port/Display Port (I don't have a Display Port on my laptop) or VGA (same)

Do I need a Display Port to USB-A adaptor? Or is there another issue? Thanks

@MunchiesMum

Before we can help, we need to know what EXACTLY is your HP Envy 360  ? Please use the following instructions to find out the model/product of your machine:

     https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824

             or

     https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00033108

Please do NOT post its Serial number (s/n).

We also need to know what is your Dell monitor (model) - USB-A to USB-B from machine to monitor won't work.

Regards.
