HP ENVY Desktop PC TE01-4000i RCTO Base Model

My HP Envy x360 10th Gen I5 laptop can connect to two 4K monitors using HDMI and USB-C ports. Just got a new 13th Gen I7 and the USB-C port will not drive a 4K monitor. HP support says it is 5GB and 10GB is needed for 4K. Can I connect a 4K monitor via a USB 3.1 port to have two 4K monitors? Or do I need to buy a $200+ graphics card?

Not sure why this 3 year newer computer only has a USB-C with 5GB instead of 10GB, when my much older laptop has USB-C 10GB.

Thanks for this idea. I tried it and it does work but the 4K TV turns into a 1920 X 1080 HD monitor instead of a full 4K. It you do not need the resolution and traveling using a hotel TV this is a great solution, but I do not think 4K works over this wireless display connection mechanism.

I ordered a NVDIA graphics card, an unexpected $230 expense to have even just two 4K displays connected - when my Envy laptop that is 3 years old already does this using the USB C and HDMI ports. Disappointing that a 2023 i7 PC does not have a 10GB USB C port - should really be disclosed by HP since more people are expecting to use 4K displays now and regular HD is substandard for a top end CPU.
