Product: HP EliteBook 8470p Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I am able to connect 1 external monitor with HDMI. Now, I need to connect a second monitor. I tried to connect the second monitor with a VGA cable but it did not power up.
Both monitors are HP and have VGA and HDMI ports. Monitors work individually and they both can connect to my laptop by VGA or HDMI. My cables also work. When I try to connect both of them at the same time. only the one with an HDMI connection works and the VGA connection does not. If I first plugin VGA and then connect HDMI, then VGA turns off and HDMI works.
What am I doing wrong or missing? I do not want duplicate windows, I want to extend my view.
Thanks
