When at my desk, I connect my HP Spectre x360 13 to an LG 27UL850-W external monitor via USB-C which also charges my notebook.
However, connecting my notebook to the monitor sometimes but not always causes a weird slowdown of the whole computer as if the CPU were overloaded, and also missed keystrokes from the keyboard. Disconnecting and re-connecting the USB-C cable will sometimes but not always solve the issue.
The monitor also includes a USB hub which of course also gets connected via the same USB-C cable. This might be the culprit as removing this USB hub in the Devices section of Windows settings has sometimes but not always solved the issue in the past.
I have updated every possible driver to their most recent versions, and still no luck. I have even tried rolling back the BIOS, but HP won't let me. I am kind of at a loss. Any ideas?
