Thank you for the graphics driver information.
There are two different driver updates on HP’s Support site:
(1) - AMD High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver
(2) - AMD High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver – Kabini
(1)
For Product type: HP Pavilion15 Notebook PC
Devices supported: AMD A6
File name: sp71870.exe
(2)
For Product type: HP Pavilion15 Notebook PC
Devices supported: AMD Radeon HD 8400
File name: sp78743.exe
My PC (AMD A6-5200 APU with Radeon HD Graphics) has two different graphics cards:
AMD Radeon HD 8600M Series
AMD Radeon HD 8400 / R3 Series
Questions:
What is the difference between the Kabini version and the other?
Is the Kabini version for specific products only?
Will the Kabini version also support the HD 8600M card in addition to the HD 8400 / R3 Series?
Which Windows 10 version will be installed during a system reset, the original upgrade version 1511 or the current version 1809?
If the recovery partition gets corrupted when upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, will it still be possible to roll back to Windows 8.1 by using the DVD recovery media I created when the PC was new?
Have a great day.

@pa7era
AMD Kabini is a processor based on AMD’s Jaguar architecture and this driver is for the computers with Kabini processor. The expansion slots usually depend on the motherboard and not on the processor.
When you do a reset it will install the same version you are currently on.
You can go ahead and use the recovery DVDs to reinstall Windows 8 back on the computer.

Thank you for good answers to my questions.
I finally have good news. This problem has now been successfully resolved. The solution was just to install the updated graphics driver: AMD High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver – Kabini (sp78743.exe).
My PC is now working perfectly!
Luckily, a full system reset to reinstall Windows 10 was therefore not necessary.
Thank you for excellent help!
Have a great day!
