Hi @TAR_DONA,

 Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To address the white light/contrast issue and glare on your HP laptop's display, you can try the following solutions.

Adjust Display Settings

Adjust Brightness and Contrast:

  • Right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings."
  • Adjust the brightness level to a more comfortable setting.
  • Click on "Advanced display settings" and then "Display adapter properties."
  • In the "Color Management" tab, you can adjust the contrast.

Calibrate Display Color:

  • Go to "Settings" > "System" > "Display."
  • Scroll down and click on "Advanced display settings."
  • Click on "Color calibration" and follow the on-screen instructions to adjust gamma, brightness, contrast, and color balance.

Enable Night Light

  1. Night Light Settings:
    • Go to "Settings" > "System" > "Display."
    • Toggle the "Night light" switch to On.
    • Click on "Night light settings" to adjust the color temperature.

Use an Anti-Glare Screen Protector

  1. Apply an Anti-Glare Screen Protector:
    • Purchase an anti-glare screen protector specifically designed for your laptop model.
    • Follow the instructions to apply it to your screen, which will reduce glare and eye strain.

Update Graphics Drivers

  1. Update Graphics Drivers:
    • Open "Device Manager" by right-clicking the Start button.
    • Expand the "Display adapters" section.
    • Right-click on your graphics adapter and select "Update driver."
    • Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software."

Adjust Ambient Lighting

  1. Optimize Ambient Lighting:
    • Ensure your working environment has balanced lighting, avoiding direct light sources that can cause glare on the screen.
    • Use curtains or blinds to control natural light.

By following these steps, you should be able to reduce the white light and contrast issues and minimize glare on your HP laptop.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
