Hello,
I recently discovered that my laptop had some damage to the corner of it, and I have no idea how it got there sjnce I haven't been using it as often anymore. If anyone can tell me how I can fix this, or if it's serious damage, let me know. I figured I'd ask the internet before spending money on repairing it. Thanks all

Hi,
First, can you provide the exact model or product number of the notebook, There are many different models of Stream notebooks. Here is how to find it:

From the pictures, it looks like the hinge is breaking away from the back cover of the display panel. So the fix would be to replace the hinge and back cover.
Let me know,

OK. First I would remove the screen bezel to take a closer look at the corner where it is "popping" out. Are the "screw holders" coming away from the back cover? Is the hinge coming loose from the back cover and creating the pressure on the bezel of the display panel?
On page 71 (point 1) - 72 you can see how to remove the display bezel to take a look. It just kind of pops off with small plastic tabs holding it around the edge.

The back cover has part number 900660-001 and the hinges 856599-001
Replacing the hinge is a little more complex as you can see on page 70 of the service manual. You can most likely find the parts with an online search with the part number.
Anyway, first take a look.
Let me know,
David
