Hi @JJ43L1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

A dark patch on the bottom left of your screen could be caused by several factors. Here are a few possible reasons and their solutions.

  • Dead pixels: If your screen has dead pixels, they can appear as dark spots on the screen. Unfortunately, dead pixels are a hardware issue that cannot be fixed by software. You may need to contact the manufacturer for repair or replacement if your screen is still under warranty.
  • Screen damage: If you've dropped or damaged your screen, it may have developed a dark patch. This may also require repair or replacement by the manufacturer.
  • Software issue: It's possible that a software issue is causing the dark patch to appear. Try restarting your computer or updating your graphics card driver to see if that helps. You can also try adjusting your screen's brightness and contrast settings to see if that makes a difference.
  • Monitor cable issue: If you're using an external monitor, the cable connecting it to your computer may be faulty. Try using a different cable or port to see if that resolves the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
