Defective HP Envy 13 Hinge

I’m extremely disappointed to report that the hinge and screen on my HP Envy 13 have just failed. After searching this forum, it’s clear this is a well-documented and recurring defect affecting many users. Unfortunately, my warranty expired last year, but given how widespread this issue is—and the fact that it seems to stem from a design flaw—I believe HP should take responsibility and provide support regardless of warranty status. This is urgent, as the laptop is now barely usable. I rely on this device for critical daily tasks and need to understand what options HP can offer to fix this known issue. HP, please advise on how I can get this repaired promptly and at no cost given the circumstances.
