Tried that. No luck. No file link to click on and download. Just text directions.

Should we start over? At this point, I'm just stubborn and really want to figure this out. Calling HP is not the answer.

Good to be stubborn in this case.

The download package was broken.

I fixed that entry in the previous post.

Apologies!  😥

and

Here is another try:

Double checking. We get a yellow ! and a message saying this "can't be downloaded securely." Choose KEEP to proceed and allow HP Tilt Pen Driver to make changes to the device?

We don't dare take any chances at this point . . .

Odd.

Do this to save / download the file:

Right-Click on the executable file > Open in new tab - Click to Save / download the package (I have seven copies so far).

Weird Firefox is not catching the "Double-Click on package to download (on my system) - I've not seen this before and cannot comment at all on what is going on...

Direct Double-Click on the .exe package from the post in New Edge browser at least downloads the package even as it opens another copy of the post page.

??

One more try, again pulling from the source:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp100001-100500/sp100274.exe

Once it's downloaded, yes - you will have to decide whether to install the package.

I cannot direct you in that decision.

One thing you can do to help protect your existing setup:

Before you install the downloaded package, create a Restore Point.

(How to) Create Restore Point

Stop all programs:  Browsers, games, Applications, etc.

Control Panel > icon view > System > System Protection

Click (Highlight) your main disk (C) > Select Create a Restore Point

OR

(As available)

Create a restore point now for the drives that have system protection turned on

Create
