I am not able to disable the touch pad.  I only use a Bluetooth mouse.  In device mgr. it will only allow me to uninstall it and the software.  Each time I do this it does in fact disable it, but upon starting the computer back up, each and every time it reinstalls it and the software.  It's driving me crazy.

Its important to identify if you have either the Elan or Synaptics touchpad driver, here's how you can help me to help you:

Step 1: Windows + X and Go to Device Manager 
Step 2: click on mice and other pointing devices
Step 3: check if you see either Elan or Synaptics, and let me know.
