HP Pavilion 3168NGW (250 G6 Notebook)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello

I was wondering if anyone could help me please with an issue that I am having.

I have a HP Pavilion 3168NGW laptop which I am trying to connect to 2 x Samsung SF350 monitors. The laptop has no USB C cable and I am trying to connect the monitors via a Sabrent dual HDI adaptor. As the laptop has no USB C port, I am running the Sabrent adaptor into the laptop via a USB 3.0 adaptor (made by Acessorz).

The message that keeps coming up on the laptop says Display Connection might be limited. There is no signal to either of the monitors. My work laptop has a USB C port and I plugged the Sabrent adaptor into it and it worked fine, signal went to both monitors.

I am suspecting the Accessorz converter might be the issue, or is it that my laptop is not configured for this type of devices (e.g. displayport or alt mode)?

Would the problem be fixed if I ran a male HDMI to 2 x female HDMI adaptor? I tried finding one but all of them say mirror only, not extend. All my drivers on the laptop are up to date.

Do you have any suggestions please?

Thank you.
