Good day to everyone. I am using a 15-Dk0014nt laptop. I bought a hp 5Zu98Aa 23.8 inch 24X monitor 2 months ago. I bought a DisplayPort-to-TypeC cable to get 144hz images and I was using it without any problems. But 2 days ago I turned on my computer and there was no signal on the external monitor. The reason seems to be related to updates coming to Windowsa. Because my monitor works with HDMI. Or when I use my DisplayPort-to-TypeC cable on another machine, the problem does not occur. My Type C socket is not faulty because I can exchange data. How can you help me with this?

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the display with you connect the monitor to the USB C port on the computer.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check if it helps.
BIOS: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp111001-111500/sp111188.exe
Intel: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp105501-106000/sp105556.exe
Nvidia: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp105501-106000/sp105558.exe
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

First of all, thank you very much for your help. I updated the BIOS but the other two drivers were not suitable for 10.0.19042. But I can give a feedback like this: Right now my monitor has a slight response but I still can't get a signal via type-c.

Thank you for the update.
I recommend you install all the Windows updates including optional and check.
Here is how it is done.
- Select the Start (Windows) button from the bottom-left corner.
- Go to settings (gear icon).
- Select the Update and Security icon.
- Choose Windows Update tab in the sidebar (Circular arrows)
- Select Check for updates. If there is an available update, it will begin downloading automatically.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Dear Sametkartal,
hope to provide you the solution for this very annoying problem!!! I had a similar problem and I spent almost 3months to fix the isssue after several attempts performed under the supervision of the HP support. You can find the solution in this post I wrote today to be helpful to the HP community: External monitor not working with thunderbolt connector.
Basically you need to change from 0 to 1 an entry of the register file. Keep me posted if that solution works fine!

First of all, thank you very much for your help. The solution you explained is quite good to me. I followed the steps you said, but I could not find the last "RMEnablePhyRepeater" part. Do you have a suggestion?

For some reasons I cannot attach any picture (I've tried with .pgn and .jpeg extensions). This is a link to the image:
