Hi all,

I am having some issues with the screen of the computer. As you can see in the picture below, it looks like there are vertical bars on top of symbols or logos in the screen.

This does not happen when I take a screenshot, so I guess it may be related to the hardware?

The problem responds to whatever is in the screen in the moment, and it only shows up in the laptop's screen. See the video below where I change screens and everything goes away:

What I have done so far:

- Update drives of display from device manager.

- Update BIOS from HP support assistant.

I hope you can help me out with this. The computer is slightly over 2 years old (not a lot really, given the $1.6K cost!). I expected to use it for at least 4 years without a problem, yet this problem showed up. Looking forward for any help!

Hi @KrazyToad.

Thanks for the welcome and for going through my post.

For the last days I have been using the notebook closed (with a second screen). I opened it up again to go to the BIOS and, to my surprise, I found that the screen is working normally. You can see below a couple of pictures that show this. Maybe some of the updates I mentioned in the opening comment did the trick.

I will reopen this post if I ever face this issue again. Thanks for your help!

Best,

SH
