Hi guys wondering if someone can help. i just got my new laptop, hp x360 and i am disappointed with the display. i have only had the laptop for 2 weeks and i cant work out if it is a fault or a design flaw. the colours of the display are very faded compared to my old laptop. everything looks very washed out and if i change it to the dark mode the black surrounding seems to have a shadow which i cant work out if that is supposed to be like that? can anyone advise if i should be contacting HP support or does anyone have an email that i can send these pictures in? overall i am happy with it but wished it was more sharp the screen and not so faded. i have tried colour calibration and changing the display settings. thanks

Hi @IN103,

I'd like to help!

I understand you are facing screen quality issues.

To assist better -

•    When was the last time it worked without these issues?

•    Have you updated Graphics and Chipset drivers?

•    Have you checked the display on an external monitor?

Meanwhile, try the steps below -

I recommend you attempt to access the BIOS screen by tapping on F10 while the computer is restarting

If the issue persists, in the BIOS screen which is outside windows, it would confirm a hardware failure.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi it’s brand new out of the box and the display has been like this since day 1. I did log into the bios system but it’s hard to see it as it’s a blue screen and the letters are readable no colours to compare. However when it loads or shuts down the black screen is greyed in the middle with the black in the corners. I tried to update the graphics and the drivers but the virtual agent said all drivers are up to date. I am wondering if it is a fault.

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you contact HP support in your region regarding the service options for your printer

Follow the instructions below to reach them:

1) Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences.

6)Fill the web form and proceed further.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Have a great day!
