Hello,
I have an odd issue. I get display artifacts using my laptop without an external monitor. It is a purple bar on the left of the screen and a band of flickering vertical lines on the lower part of the screen. The vertical lines would subside once the laptop is warm and the purple band would come and go. I thought it might be a broken wire on the internal display cable, and the gap would close up when the cable warmed up. But my assumption seems incorrect since these artifacts do not appear when I connect an external HDMI monitor. They do not exists on the external monitor OR on the laptop screen.
This makes me think it has to be a display driver. I updated the display driver to the latest and the issue still appears.
Graphic card - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070
Driver - 30.0.15.1296
Any ideas or suggestions?
Thank you
