Dear community,
I purchased a HP Spectre x360 Convertible 14-ea0xxx 2 months ago as I wanted a convertible laptop. Unfortunately, I have to admit the display is one of the worst I have ever used. Perhaps I should start mentioning that I using Windows 11, which might be the cause of my daily headaches.
First of all, the display seems to be blurry, there is something off when I read the text. I already calibrated it using Windows tools and adjusted the text configuration, and yet I am not happy with the quality. I understand it is not practical to read in a small display, but using the tablet mode does not fix such perception either. Secondly, Windows got an update during by the end of February and now the display is adjusting the brightness by itself. It gets extremely dimmed unless I turn on the light it the room and use the keyboard shortcuts to set the brightness to full level again. At the moment, I have checked a plethora of forums and troubleshot the software: enabled the services for the display sensor, checked the option in the battery and system menu, and made sure to do not select any option associated to auto brightness.
Whith the above mentiones explanation, would you please help me how to solve these issues? The computer is practical and has good performance, but the display has been a huge dissapointed until now. Also, would it be better if I install Windows 10?
Thanks beforehand for your help.
Regards,
Jorge

Hi@JBric,
Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!
I see you are experiencing blurry screen issues with the HP Spectre x360 laptop. I apologize for the Inconvenience.
I have a few recommendations
- Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
- Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
Try and check in Bios using the F10 key if the screen is blurry in Bios. To enter Bios, click restart and keep tapping the F10 key and then turn on the PC at the same time to enter Bios screen.
If the issue persists in Bios then it is a hardware issue on the screen.
For any hardware issue or repair please click on the link Phone Assist Worldwide
