Mysterious problem in EC-1052AX, The display in 144hz: Has a horizontal line just 1mm below from the top and anything only in the 1mm area only works good and the rest of the screen below the line flickers, sometimes doesnt respond and when works it responds very slowly. Tried resetting the pc, had a display adapter driver reset. But nothing worked. The same issue is also observed in BIOS. BUT.... The display after booting in 60hz works magically good, feels like there didnt had any display issues not sure why. i still cannot access BIOS still in 60hz may be due to bios is booted in 144hz. Showed it in Hyderabad HP Service and also took the effort to travel a night and 400kms later had an opinion in Vijayawada HP Service Centre and both actually pointed out that there is an issue in the display itself without even knowing that the laptop works fine in 60hz and quoted me a 15000 rupees (190$) for the display. My question is, if the display has an issue, why does it work good after booting in 60hz? and also how could they even be sure that it is the display issue without even knowing that it partially works fine.
Kindly help people. Is it truly the display issue? or any software issue? or the issues with cables connecting to the display.
The display was not harmed in any manner, i took care of the pc very well. dont know how this issue arrived to me in the first place. should i change the display? should i change it from the outside for less cheaper? should i just use it way it is but i surely do miss the 144hz refresh since i paid for it. Suggest me.

Hi @satyann,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you are facing a display-related issue with your HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-Ec1052ax. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
To assist better:
- Was there any recent update on the unit prior to the issue?
- Does the line appear only on any particular application or game?
- Have you tried connecting the unit to any external monitor?
While you respond to that, please go ahead and update the drivers using HP Support Assistant.
