HP ENVY 14 Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I bought this notebook HP Envy 14 on 6NOV2015

Windows 10
Intel i7-6700HQ CPU@2.6GHz,
Intel HD Graphics 530 w/Driver =  10.18.15.4279  (8/24/2015) - Already latest as of today
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M w/Driver = 10.18.13.5354  (7/13/2015) => 10.18.13.5435(10/14/2015) updated on 30NOV15

CRASH ERR msg
-
Display driver stopped responding and has recovered
Display driver Intel HD Graphics Drivers
for Windows 8(R) stopped responding
and has successfully recovered.

For the past 3 weeks, display driver crashed frequently while I was surfing the internet with (Fox,Chrome,IE,Edge). The situation seems to get worse. First 2 weeks, it will recover itself. A few days ago, when crashed, browser blanked out, close browser & restart, everything gone.

I tried to update (NVIDIA driver and Intel IO Driver) from HP Support Assistant without success.

I reported this problem to HP on 30Nov. A HP support person told me he has helped about 50 similar cases like this with Windows 10.  He remotely controlled my notebook to install all those associated drivers individually (NVIDIA driver and Intel IO Driver) from the control panel.  (not from HP Support Assistant)  He said he has resolved my problem and I should be happy.

Well, today 01DEC.  I still have the same display driver problem - crashed all day long, many times.  VERY ANNOYING !

I wonder Is there anybody who bought HP notebook has the same problem as mine?

Is it a compatibility problem between Intel HD 530, NVIDIA and Windows 10?

I got a  HP Envy 15t

Windows 10
Intel i7-6700HQ CPU@2.6GHz,
Intel HD Graphics 530 w/Driver = 10.18.15.4279  (8/24/2015)

I blinks constantly and when playing Netflix videos on Chrome Browser it shows failing patches randomly.

It is more than "VERY ANNOYING !", it is "EXTREMELY AGRAVATING!"

You pay HP over US$1,000 dollars and get a unreliable machine, cheaply built.

I am very disappointed with HP.

I have the same problem, and even trying to reply here had to wait for the driver to crash and recover.

Very frustrating and to be honest if the solution is to allow remote access to my laptop of less than 2 months old (which has been showing the same error increasingly from day 1) then it's going back not fit for purpose!

I have just purchased the HP Pavilion 15-ak011na and have the same issue.

Been working through a few solutions associated with this problem.

Crashes occur when watching flash videos in browser, I have altered the TdrDelay in the registry, this changes the error to "access to the graphics drivers had been blocked"

Tried disabling hardware acceleration on flash vids, problem still occurs. Removed HP Coolsense, problem still occurs.

I removed all display drivers using DDU and installed Intel HD graphics (4300) didn't install the nvidea drivers and the error still occurred.

Removed all drivers again, installed the generic "Microsoft basic display adapter" error didn't occur.. then Installed the nvidea drivers (revision 359.00) and error hasn't re occurred as of yet....

I got the same issue on my HP 650 G1 Laptop.

It started about 2-4 weeks ago, at first it was only while playing games but now its frequently crash also when using chrome or other programs using a bit of system resources.

Edit: I'm also using Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 drivers.

Im having the same display driver problem with my new HP envy 15t ordered a week ago, if this keeps occuring Im sending it back. Someone from HP needs to respond imediatly to this this wave of complaints because its happening to many users.  I tried installing an updated graphic driver from Intel and it was blocked because HP is using a custom driver which cannot be updated with normal Intel one.

Yes, same problem, Spectre Model 13-4011TU.  Screen goes black every minute or so.  Only happens if I have wifi running.  Runs fine if I'm running on a wired internet connection.  But, as soon as I turn on wifi, zap the screen goes black every minute.

I've reintalled windows, updated bios, and install drivers....problem not solved.

Just purchased an HP envy notebook - 17t-n000 CTO and I'm having the same issues as many of you.  Usually happens when I'm cruising the web...may be related to movies/flash (ads on Yahoo).  Why isn't anyone from HP offering a solution.  It seems this has been a problem for quite some time and no one bothers to care?  Why is everything we purchase anymore complete garbage?

HELLO HP - COULD YOU HELP YOUR **bleep** CUSTOMERS?

Hello everyone,

First let me wish everyone Happy Holidays.

A few days ago my laptop got the longest Windows 10 update ever; it took about one hour to complete. The blinking did not stop completely but it has substantially reduced the frequency of the blinks. I now I got a much rare blink instance. Not ideal but I can leave with it for a little while longer. I am now on Windows 10 Home version 1511 build 10586.14 – check it out.

Best regards

Mauro
