On the Intel site, there is probably a version of the driver BETWEEN what you have, and the latest BETA. You can install that, directly from Intel.

Windows will moan, because (with valid reason) it doesn't like unsigned drivers, but you can use the "have disk" method to get past it (google/bing will help, but post back here if you get stuck).

Just download the ZIP file from Intel, not the EXE, and extact it on to your desktop or somewhere you can get to it easily.

This article details how to install unsigned drivers.

Last week I had HP Support Assistant technician remote to my laptop and install new drivers.  I now have Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 version 10.18.15.4279 dated 08/24/2015 installed.  Even thought the frequency of blinking has reduced, it is still blinking. Matter fact it is blinking right now. I also noticed depending on particular websites I might have opened it might blink even more frequently. Next time I find a website which does blink terribly I will take a note of it and try to determinate things like network traffic, javascripts and plugins running, etc.

HP is useless. My drivers are crashing regularly and have been for months. They claim not to be able to recreate the issue which has to be untrue. I am done with all HP products. They also let the warranty run out without doing anything about it. Warranty ends today. They are no longer a reliable company in my opinion.

Please try this to get the latest driver, that has not had any problems since installing well over a month ago. I was just as disgusted as I could be before installing this driver.

Go to my posting on page 3 of this forum, and look for my 2nd post dated 02-04-2016 04:22 PM, and try to follow the instructions to get latest 530 graphics driver.

Hi Isabel,

I share your feelings towards HP. For whatever it is worth I recently wrote on my Support Assistant Survey how disappointed with HP I am; I’ve been a loyal Compaq and afterwards a HP customer. I hope that can produce some reaction from HP.

Have you read on page 4 a post from hirochi on DRIVER VERSION: 20.19.15.4360 is on beta fixes our Graphics issue? We understand this is an issue between Intel and Microsoft to release this driver but I hope HP is using its power in behalf of its customers to pressure Intel and Microsoft to get their job done. Stills it does not change the fact that I am extremely upset with HP for selling us defective equipment. You are perfectly right, it is BS HP didn’t know computers with this Intel HD Graphics 530 card have problem – Intel and Microsoft know; reason why they already have a beta version driver to fix it.

Best regards,

Marisa,

tHANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY. I am still very frustrated and I feel as if I have been robbed by HP. I was just wondering if you were aware of the fact that Compaq is a subsidiary of HP so when you buy Compaq you are still supporting HP which has the morals and value system of a snake. I do not mean any offense to snakes.

I have already installed this driver. The graphics still crash on a regular basis. Sometimes it is just colors that are not a discernable picture and sometimes there are lines running throughout the picture. Either way the problem persists and HP has done NOTHING!!!!  I wrote to the CEO and dealt with the Executive Customer Relations department but they strung me along until the warranty expired so they would not have to do anything. They got their wish. The warranty expires today. I hope they are proud of themselves. I bought this overpriced omputer because I am blind and rely on the computer for knowledge and communication.  This computer has spent more time at HP than with me. It is especially disgusting and morally bankrupt to rip off and deceive the disabled. There is a SPECIAL PLACE IN HELL RESERVED FOR HP!!!!

Not sure why people are blaming Microsoft, unless HP are trying to divert attention?

The chipset is INTEL, and although they are responsible for the useless drivers, they have released some updates. In my case, HP who are supposed to release the updates didn't bother to sign them for my model, so I had to installed unsigned drivers direct from INTEL.

I don't think Microsoft play much of a part here, at least in my case. INTEL and HP are the culprits.
