@m71me

You're welcome, good to hear :generic:

@Adham97

Have you tried right clicking the Intel gpu, selecting Uninstall ( also tick the box to delete driver software ) and when this has completed, restarting the notebook - I don't believe the tpm firmware issue is related.

so i should go to the device manager and uninstall the graphics card adapter? i don't have a dedicated gpu

Hi,

Yes, Windows should automatically re-detect the hardware and load a generic driver for the gpu - the screen will go dark, but just wait and the display should re-appear.

Hi,

I'd try the Intel software package listed on your notebooks support page - it's on the following link.

I have exactly the same problem since using the April update, but on my Elitebook 2540p. Is there also a solution für this product (which has a different Intel Graphics version)? Thank you.

Hi DavidPK,

I had exactly the same problem on my HP Elitebook x360. Your method worked! Thank you!

I hope HP can release the offical video driver update soon.

Another problem that I still have is: Windows 10 1803 complains that the TPM driver needs to be updated. But after I installed the updated driver downloaded from the HP website, the issue remains.

Hi DP-K

no, sp85323 from the HP web page is not working. Had this version installed before I installed the Windows 10 April update. After the update, intel graphics stopped working. Then reinstalled sp85323 without success. Only your advice of manually installing the latest driver from the intel page worked.

sp85323 contains driver version 23.20.16.4877 which seems to be incompatible with the Windows 10 April update.

The latest driver version from intel is 24.20.100.6025 which was released 4/26/2018. As a "highlight" intel mentions "Microsoft® Windows 10 April Update Launch Drive" for this driver version.

Would be nice if HP would notice that the Windows 10 April update requires a graphics driver update and proritize releasing 24.20.100.6025 as an official HP driver update on their web page...

Hi BartS1975,

I assume that the solution will also work for you. If you follow the link in DP-K's post to the intel driver, there is a description which intel graphics devices the driver is intended for. According to Jim_Ball's post, the solution seems to have worked for his HP Elitebook x360.

Same problem here - the helpdesk is flooding with users not being able to use their screen. Not good! I read elsewhere that HP released a new video driver (maybe 23.20.16.4877) into the system just before the April update which is the cause of the problem. A quick fix is to remove the device but also delete in the install files which causes the driver to go back to v22.20.16.4771 which works.

But thanks for posting the link to the latest Intel driver. That should help as well.

HP neet to get that out into the update system ASAP.
