HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 13-ay0021nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've got a HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 13-ay0021nr.  It's over a year old, and less than two, so the warranty is expired, unfortunately.  However, today I put it in hibernate, waited for the little lights on the keyboard to go off, and then closed the lid.  The lower left side of the screen exploded, causing glass to fragment everywhere.  There is a bulge which looks like some capacitor-type things are sticking out.  Has anyone else run into this, and if you have, did you have any luck with HP fixing it?  I realize my warranty is expired, but it seems more like a manufacturing defect/safety issue.

Thanks y'all.
