HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15m-ed0013dx
Microsoft Windows 11

I have a laptop, model HP ENVY x360 Laptop 15m-ed0013dx running Windows 11 that continues to have screen flickering black, fuzzy display and random white bars.  I've read that it could be a display driver issue but when I checked the Device Manager the driver says it is up-to-date.  When I check the HP self-service, it doesn't show Windows 11 as an option for driver downloads.

Anyone had this issue and resolved it?

@ksingeralum, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It sounds like you're dealing with display issues that could be caused by incompatible or outdated drivers, particularly since your HP ENVY x360 15m-ed0013dx is originally designed for Windows 10.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to fix the screen flickering, white bars, and fuzzy display issues:

Confirm Driver Version and GPU

Press Win + X → click Device Manager.

Expand Display Adapters.

Note the GPU name.

Right-click the GPU → Properties → Driver tab.

Note the driver version and date.

Download and Install the Latest Intel Graphics Driver

Even if Windows says it’s "up to date," the driver might be a generic or outdated one.

Here's how:

Go to the Intel Download Center:
Download Intel Drivers and Software

Search for your GPU model (e.g., "Intel UHD Graphics" or "Intel Iris Xe").

Choose the latest driver for Windows 11.

Download the .exe file and install it manually.

Reboot your PC.

Use HP’s Windows 10 Driver

Even though HP doesn’t list Windows 11 drivers for your laptop, the Windows 10 graphics driver from HP might work better.

Visit HP’s support page for your model:
Official HP® Drivers and Software Download | HP® Support

Search your model: 15m-ed0013dx.

Select Windows 10 (64-bit) from the OS list.

Download the Intel graphics driver listed.

Install it manually → Reboot.

Test External Display

To rule out physical screen issues:

Connect your laptop to an external monitor via HDMI or USB-C.

If the external display is clear with no flickering, the issue may lie with the internal display cable, panel, or connector.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
