Elitebook 840 g5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Purchased two new QHD / 2K monitors. When I connect them to the display ports on the back of the docking station, the monitor gets "no signal". Interestingly enough when I open the Intel Graphics settings in Control Panel, it recognizes the two monitors, even the model #s. However both monitor lights come on as if it detects something but in the end return to amber and I see a "no signal" message. I've tried rebooting, disconnecting/reconnecting and at this point I'm stumped. The laptop has an Intel UHD 620 graphics processor so no excuses that this can't handle these monitors. Drivers all look to be up to date as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The specs clearly says Dual 2.5k only with both displays into DP for HP 840 G5 and  HP UltraSlim Docking Station. That means your connection should work.

Looks like you need a firmware But the following only does not show firmware for HP UltraSlim Docking Station
