HP Spectre x360 13.5 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-ef0000 (3Y838AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

On my HP Spectre x360, the OLED display has an issue where the right side of the display does not display pure black pixels as black, instead they are a bright blue which flicker in intensity sometimes.

The display was working fine since I bought the laptop over a year back. Now it randomly has this issue out of nowhere.

It seems like display has an issue, but there is no way to get HP to support me in fixing this.

I have tried:

1. Connecting to external display: Display is fine. This is not a software issue.

2. Reset Windows and drivers completely. Not a driver issue.

3. Opened the laptop, cleaned and reseated the display cable on the motherboard side with no improvement.

You're to be thanked for doing a lot more about this than most folks who post here -- but it also appears you have identified the source of the issue -- failing display hardware.

If it were the drivers, it would have shown up on the external monitor, and it did not.

Unfortunately, replacing the display is VERY expensive and since this is out of warranty, you would have to pay for it yourself and HP does not fix devices out of warranty.

So you would have to find a local repair shop -- but be sure to get an estimate before you commit to the work because you'll be paying not just for a new screen but also the labor to replace the old one.
