I just discovered by accident, another fix. On the settings screen, display, there is an option to enable HDR. Turning this on made my screen behave as before this problem occured. I turned it off and the no wake up returned. Back to on and everything was normal. I had never changed this setting before so something in an update had to cause this problem. I did not get to download the intel driver yet. When attempting to, it says this will override mfgr. customizations, and to go to their site to get the latest version. I just have not "bit the bullet" and tried it.
