I am trying to setup a home office with a docking station for my laptop. I am not having success with using multiple monitors on my HP Notebook.

Your machine should be one of the following machines (around 180 of them):
https://support.hp.com/au-en/product/product-specs/hp-15-f2000-laptop-pc-series/model/2100381733
They should have SAME ports: 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate; 2 SuperSpeed USB Type-A 5Gbps signaling rate; 1 HDMI 1.4b; 1 AC smart pin; 1 headphone/microphone combo.
It has one hopeless SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate port therefore you can NOT use USB-C docks. To be able to use 2 external monitors you can use
- Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
- Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as
Other option: using USB-A dock such as https://support.hp.com/ie-en/product/details/hp-usb-3.0-3005pr-port-replicator/model/5256709
Regards.
