HP Pavilion Laptop PC 15-eg1000 (43F51AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

HELP! I just set up my home office and my husband's HP computer from work is working perfect, but mine will not work with the docking station.

I have an HP Pavilion 15-EG1000 Laptop that has a SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) port. The Docking station is something I got on Amazon and it says it supports USB-C PD3.0 Power Delivery (PD3.0) and USB - C Data Transfer: up to 5 Gb/s data speed.

Is it because my laptop's USB-C has 10 GB/s signaling rate and this only supports up to 5 Gb/s?

Is there a way to limit my USB-C? Can a normal USB port work for displays?
