I have recently purchased a USB C docking station. It works fine but it seems it does not support video transmission thru HDMI. I have tested the docking station on my work PC (windows 10, Dell) and HDMI works. How can I understand if my type C supports video transmission. And where can I find a compatible docking station?

What is your HP 15s-fq4xxx machine ? It should have same ports as the following machine
It ONLY has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to
- Charge your machine,
- Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter (some hubs may have builtin chip to support this)
If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only), you can use
- Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
- Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as
For more connectivity, please use
True Universal Docking Stations
Regards.
