I have to replace my screen due to the hinge failing and pulling off of the monitor. Without pulling my machine apart, how can I tell if I have a 30 or 40 pin connector? Serial number is Removed. The product number is 7P418AV. Thanks for any help. BTW HP part surfer does not list any components for this product.

According to the parts list for the S/N you posted your notebook uses a 30 pin connector.
The display part number is:
| M03151-LD2 | PNL,15.6 FHD AG SVA 45% 250n NB eDP, BOE |

You're very welcome.
Entering the serial number in the PartSurfer database gave me two models to select.
The first one I selected had zero information, so I went back and selected the other PC description listed which then provided the parts list.
