HP ENVY - 13-ah0001na
Microsoft Windows 11

I am looking at purchasing an additional external monitor which has a USB-C port, my laptop connects fine to my currents monitors via a USB-C hub and HDMI cable. I assume that this means I will also be okay to transmit video via a USB-C to USB-C cable directly into the new monitor? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

The specs of your machine is

                https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06067274

It has  1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s, Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.2, HP Sleep and Charge port which supports DP Alt mode and PD. You can use its USB-C to connect to and external display or USB-C charger or BOTH with a right USB-C dock.

It is a good candidate for an HP USB-C G5 dock.

Regards.
