Hello everyone,
I have a problem regarding dual 4K monitors, my new docking station and notebook. All specifications of models are below. I can't seem to be able to run both 4K monitors at 4K resolution, no matter with which cables I use to connect them with the docking station. I tried all combinations and here are the outcomes:
2xDisplayPort, 1xUSB-C/1xDisplayPort:
Both monitors connect fine, but one runs on 4K and the other only on FullHD. Sometimes I have the option to increase the resolution on the one with FullHD but if I try that, the monitor just flashes, Windows tells me that it cannot run the monitor on such resolution and the option of 4K dissapears until next boot.
1xUSB-C/1xThunderbolt, 1xThunderBolt/1xDisplayPort:
I know that the monitors do not have Thunderbolt port but they do have USB-C. Once I connect any monitor to the Thunderbolt port, it just goes black and comes on only if I disconnect the other monitor (either in USB-C or DisplayPort).
I have tried to update everything that I could think of and still couldn't get it to work. If I connect the monitor directly to the notebook, everything works fine. Can someone please help me? According to specifications I've read, it should be working.
