I want to be able to connect 2 monitors with my laptop. I'm able to connect one using the HDMI port but the second one is not working when using the USB-C port. Anyone with a solution?

What is your HP 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-c0000 (2W0J5AV) ? It could be one of the following over 180 machines

For example : HP Laptop 17-cn0155ng
It ONLY has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to
- Charge your machine,
- Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter (some hubs may have builtin chip to support this)
If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only), you can use
- Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
- Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as
