I have two external monitors - both have HDMI ports. Whenever I connect a Targus USB-C Hub (Targus USB-C Dual HDMI 4K Docking Station with 100W PD Pass-Thru : Amazon.ca: Electronics which has two HDMI ports) to my laptop's USB-C port, I get errors saying the PC may not support the Monitors. Both monitors work fine when plugged directly into the HDMI port. I also have a single port usb-c to hdmi adapter from blackweb. This also does not work. Can you advise if my usb-c port is working properly and if so, is there a better way to connect dual external monitors to my laptop?

It should have PORTS ad the following machine

which shows it has a HOPELESS USB-C port: USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate (supports data transfer only and does not support charging or external monitors) :
If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only), you can use
- Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
- Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as
