Dual monitors for chromebook

Chromebook

I have a chromebook.  Two USBs, no HDMI ports.  How can I connect dual monitors to it?  What piece of hardware do I need?

Dual monitors for chromebook

@mjvovk

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

To get the answer to this question, The USB does not support Video out, hence you won't be able to use USB port to project video.

The USB can transfer data only.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Dual monitors for chromebook

My Chrome book has two Type C ports.  One can be used for power.  But . . . will the second Type C port transfer video?  If so, I could get a Type C that splits into HDMI for the first monitor and VGA for the second.  I have not seen a Type C dual monitor adapter where both are HDMIs.  Also, do I need to pay special attention to make sure the adapter is compatible with a Chromebook?

Thanks.

Dual monitors for chromebook

Here' what I was able to find.

First, nothing is clearly labeled on the back of my HP Chromebook.

Second, it's black letters on a black background.  Very tough to read.

Third . . . here they are

SCTRCPIN72H-0488

Intel Radio Model: 7265NGW

ProdID: 3NU63UTBABA

HP Chromebook 1465

S/N#: SCD8223T3X

I hope that helps.  I really do appreciate your help.  Thanks.

After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that you have 2-USB 3.1 Type-C and 2-USB 3.1 Gen 1 (sleep and charge support) installed on the PC. Note: No video output port

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Dual monitors for chromebook

You can connect an external display to an HP Chromebook via the USBC port.  I'm doing it right now.  Technically I have dual monitors if  I count the Chromebook's display.  So that is possible.  I have the Chromebook x360 - 14-da0011dx.   I expect you mean dual external monitors.    Short answer is I don't know.  That's what I came to this community to figure out.  I actually have two external monitors attached but I can only mirror their displays (so I have one display (meaning set of windows) on the Chromebook and another on the 2 external monitors but the 2 external monitors match each other.
