ENVY x360 convertible 13-y0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

ENVY x360 convertible 13-y0xx can connect with HDMI to smaller HP monitors. When using the HP Z32, ENVY does not recognize;/connect the device.  Connecting via HDMI will make laptop flicker/blink then repeatedly BSOD.  Updated Z32  and  Intel Video graphics drivers on to laptop.  I am not able to get any connections with  USB-c  port.  Would this port support video if connecting to USB-C hub type device/docking station with DP or HDMI outputs to a monitor? Any suggestions please?

How can I comment without knowing what is your 13-y0xx. What is it ? For example

         HP ENVY x360 - 13-y013cl

Your machine could have same ports and it's USB-C port does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine
  • Connect to an external monitor with / without hub/dock/adapter

Regards.

BH:  Oh sorry, i had used the y0xx as that was what win10 sysinfo showed...  the devices shows HP ENVY x360 - 13-y023cl. As the USB-c doesn't support video, would my only option be to use use the USB 3.0 with a "docking" type adapter device that has the hdmi or dp to connect to the Z32?
