I have seen numerous references about reversing the direction of scrolling for the trackpad in my Pavilion 15-cs0025cl notebook, but have not seen anyone mention my problem. I have found the location to change the scrolling direction, but it has absolutely no effect on the scrolling. After updating Windows 10 to v1909, my scrolling is now reversed so if I swipe down on my trackpad, the scroll bar goes up. This is probably okay for most, but years of going the other way has me pulling my hair out. I have deleted the existing trackpad driver (Elan v21.2.26.1) and reinstalled it, but the trackpad settings still don't change the scrolling at all. Any ideas?

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the touchpad scrolling.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you uninstall the touchpad driver from the device manager and then download and install the driver from the below link.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp105501-106000/sp105703.exe
Here is how it is done.
- Type "Device Manager" into the search field to open the device manager console.
- Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
- On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
- When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.
NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

This worked! Thank you very much. FYI: It updated the driver from Elan v21.2.26.1 to Elan v21.2.27.1 which seems to have made all of the difference. I will mark this as being the Accepted Solution, and thank you again for getting this straightened out!
