EliteBook 840 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey guys,

i can't use my USB-C Port on my Elitebook 840 G5.

  • All Drivers are installed.
  • I've looked in the BIOS but found nothing to activate it or something like that.
  • Do I need to activate it somewhere?

I want to connect my Monitor on the port.

Thanks for the help.

Hello @bwiens,

So you're connecting a USB-C adapter to the Thunderbolt 3 port on the right side of the laptop?

Can you please tell me the model name of the monitor and the adapter you are using to achieve a connection?

Kind regards,

Eddy

Any update on this case ?

Using a usb-c on my 830 g5 elitebook and can't send signal to the external screen.

No, I'm afraid not. I suspect meanwhile that it only works with the expensive, original HP adapter...

We've had problems after flashing the BIOS that the USB-C Dock will not send display signal to external monitors but everything else works. In 3 cases we've had to return the laptop and they've returned with new motherboards.
