I bought a new kvm switch (ATEN CS1942DP) the switch works exactly as intended for my desktop computer but will not display picture (sound etc works) to my dual screens using display link out from my ultraslim docking station). My dock still works displaying pictures directly to my screens via display-port (but not with KVM switch in the middle).
Troubleshooting steps:
-worked through with ATEN support, they believe a setting/fault with laptop or dock
- tried different cables etc
- updated bios, all software and drivers
- tried different computer on KVM switch (all works okay)
- updated bios of KVM switch
- tried running directly from my HP laptop computer to the switch (still didn't work)
Anything that you could do to help or suggest would be awesome. I have been pulling my hair out for two days with this.
Thanks

You might try to update the 2013 UltraSlim Docking station with the latest firmware as mentioned here. By the way I´m using a StarTech SV231DPDDUA which is working fine. Maybe you could give that device a try if you can order that.

Hi Bastian,
I have already tried to update the docking station (thanks for suggesting it).
HP and Aten now believe that there is a compatibility issue with these products so i have returned the switch.
I will try the StarTech option as you suggest.
Thanks.
