Product: HP ENVY - 17t-ae100 CTO
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I've got a 4 year old laptop that has lived its entire life in very benign conditions -- never manhandled, spilled on, or exposed to environmental extremes. I haven't even used the touch-screen feature (turned it off).
In the bottom 1" or so of the screen, there are blotchy areas (in the shape of clouds or whipped cream) that are discolored -- particularly noticeable in blue (the blotches are darker blue than the rest of the screen).
They're always there, They seem to be growing slowly. This is definitely not a software issue -- seems more like some off-gassing effect or a defect in the LCD material.
Anybody else seen something like this??
