My laptop is just 2 months out of warranty although after reading other posts I don’t think this makes a difference! One of the hinges has snapped/broken and the screen is pulling away from the back lid whenever I open or close the laptop and am no longer able to open it completely (to tablet mode) in fear that it will get damaged further. Someone has suggested using a strong glue to hold it in place but I don’t feel I should need to do this when it is clearly a very common issue with these models.

They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact.
