Envy x360 touchpad

When using my touchpad to simply move about the screen, when I lift my finger off it clicks, it's a bit annoying as you can imagine there's lots of clicks....I have reset the touchpad settings, didn't help....is this normal behavior? if so, any way to turn this off?

I reviewed your post and I understand that the touchpad clicks when you lift your fingers.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you turn off the tap to click feature in the touchpad settings and this should take care of the issue.

Here is how it is done.

You can customize actions for finger clicks or the area size for right-clicks from the ClickPad Properties page. Use the following steps to adjust and customize clicking.

1. In the Windows search box, type TouchPad.

   From the results list click TouchPad settings.

2. Click Additional settings.

   

3. Open the ClickPad Settings.

   

4. Click to highlight Clicking. If the checkbox next to Clicking does not contain a check mark, click the checkbox until a check mark displays to enable clicking.

   

5. Click the Settings icon  to adjust clicking settings.

   

6. Customize one-finger, two-finger, three-finger, and corner click actions by clicking on the down icon  to open the click action menu for each item. Scroll through the menu to make your selection. Some selections required additional information. If the Configure button is enabled after your selection, click Configure and follow the instructions.

7. Click the Close button.

8. Click the down icon  next to Clicking, and then click Right Button Zone.

9. Click the Settings icon  to adjust the right-click button zone .

   A window displays showing a green area where the ClickPad recognizes a right-click.

   

10. Hover the cursor over the small black dot on the left side of the green box until a double-sided arrow displays, and then drag the mouse left to expand the right-click zone.

    

11. Click Close to return to the ClickPad properties.

12. Click Apply to apply your changes, and then click OK to exit the properties screen.

My touchpad settings screens are not the same....

It's fine, just look for the tap action option in the settings and disable it.
