Hello!
I have been experiencing this error code when trying to use the camera or play videos on this laptop for at least 6 months or so. However, typically I am able to simply restart the computer and get it working. Recently, however, the backpack my computer was in was put in checked luggage on an international flight by mistake and it got pretty beat up in the process. I had it taken apart and put back together again by a reputable computer repair shop in my area and it's been working great since then, except that my camera is not working and my video is not playing at all. I have tried every fix I can find for the last two weeks and nothing is working.
The camera driver/software isn't in the device manager at all. When I download the driver and restart my computer, it still doesn't show up, even after scanning for hardware changes. I even completely reset my computer to factory settings in the hopes that it would be the fix I need, but the camera software is still missing. I also found some advice posted yesterday about turning a camera kill switch off, but it appears my computer doesn't have one of these kill switches.
Anybody have any ideas? I am in a now online ASL class that starts back up next week so I NEED my camera to be working and I have tried everything I could find on the internet to no avail.

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
-
Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
-
Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
-
Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
-
Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
-
Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Also ensure Windows is up to date.
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available
You can also run a Webcam Test to confirm the Hardware Functionality
- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the Notebook.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
