I wish to extend (not mirror) Dual Monitors from ENVY x360 15-bp023ca.
Both monitors are HP 24es with HDMI and VGA connectivity.
The laptop has following port specs...
1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s, DP1.2, HP Sleep and Charge);
2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (1 HP Sleep and Charge);
1 HDMI v2.0a;
1 headphone/microphone combo
I've spoken to HP support, HP store and I'm getting mixed messages as to what is possible.
I've heard that I can do the following:
1) connect one monitor via HDMI ports and the other via USB-C and HDMI (using adapter).
2) connect laptop to a docking station vai USB-C and hte monitors to the docking station (1 via HDMI and 1 via VGA).
Then someone said I can do either. Docking stn recommend is HP USB-C mini-dock (1pm64ut#aba).
Can anyone set me straight on this before I purchase either 1 or 2 above?
Thanks, Bksch
