We've had the same issue, for weeks the shielding resolved the blinking monitors, then it started up again.
Our HP support here in Newcastle NSW are meeting with me on Monday, they will arrange a MB replacement as apparently these are shielded and have "new components"? We'll see how it goes and I'll report back here.
PS. Our interference is from the internal WWAN module. Remove the SIM and the problem disappears.
Again this only affects the Skylake processor, this is why the G1 and G2's aren't affected.

"WWAN connectivity allows a user with a laptop and a WWAN card to surf the web, check email, or connect to a virtual private network (VPN) from anywhere within the regional boundaries of cellular service."
cellular service is the key... Do you have a cell phone within 10 feet of the device SherryJ? (In your pocket?) Try moving it away from the device and see if you have the problem. I would also be interested in hearing what provider you have for cell service. (Tmobile, sprint, at&T, etc)

I am well aware of what WWAN is used for but I guess my question is if the driver is installed (not needing to be) will that still cause an issue or does it have to be set up and using a SIM card. We have 600+ customers and even if their cell is on the table behind them, it would be withing 10 ft. Staff provided cell phones are Verizon and I really don't know what mix of those reporting issues has Verizon. Would it be effective to disable or remove the WWAN adapter? I have not taken the time to go through the BIOS to see if that is an option on the 820, 840 and 850 G3's.

Not good ... HP has to fix this. The IT staff and other support staff use of cell phones is a necessity for certain security features. Can't wait until corncob75 reports back next week.
@corncob75 - what are the "new components" on the MB that HP is bringing to you? Student123 says the issue will happen (correct me if I am misstating this) the issue will happen if the WWAN is active and using a SIM or if you have a cell within 10 ft.

Hi SherryJ,
Scroll back to page 2 of this blog, last post is mine describing the issue.
Definitely cellular interference, we have the internal module with a 4G SIM in it, from testing it is worse when the reception flicks between 3G and 4G. Here in Australia this is a regular occurrence, especially if a Kangaroo comes bounding past the computer 🙂
We have not replicated the Mobile phone interference. But if you remove the SIM from the WWAN module the issue goes away.
I will hazard a guess that the newer mainboards have more/better shielding or they’ve fixed the frequency of the Skylake processor and therefore they aren’t susceptible to the interference.
