Troubleshooting black screen issues on HP Notebooks: Click here to view the instructions!

I have had the shield replaced on a few units.  While it helps, it does NOT 100% completely fix the issue.  especially if users keep a cell phone near the laptop.

i dont have any cell phones around, but have HP hs3110 HSPA+ mobile boradband module installed. it is disabled and i still have montor issue when docked to slim 2013. how come it is not resolved yet after 2 years?

more... after upgrading slim 2013 firmware - now during blinks it cuts all usb connections to slim 2013 as well....

I agree with zvm76 ... HP needs to put more effort into getting this issue corrected.

stragne thing that all HP now has to say - update graphic driver, bios and slim 2013 firmware - SP75855, SP78116, SP78255, hoping that it will work :). it didnt. next step - they want me to bring it to service senter for testing. it will take a while.... i will keep you posted. funny... some messages about flickering screen go back to 2012.... 2012. ... it is 2017. and they still make units with same problem. what are they hoping for..

i have hs3110+ mobile broadband installed. to support the solution with shielding, i removed sim card from module. so far so good. it looks like it is shielding after all, and all those software fixes are not working.

We've had the same issue, for weeks the shielding resolved the blinking monitors, then it started up again.

Our HP support here in Newcastle NSW are meeting with me on Monday, they will arrange a MB replacement as apparently these are shielded and have "new components"?  We'll see how it goes and I'll report back here.

PS.  Our interference is from the internal WWAN module.  Remove the SIM and the problem disappears.

Again this only affects the Skylake processor, this is why the G1 and G2's aren't affected.

Do you happen to mean "remove the WWAN module"?  We don't have SIM's installed  and we are having he same issue as you after the sheilding was installed.
