HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 13-ay0096au
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi all. I'm trying to setup a docking station for my HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 13-ay0096au via the USB-C port. It is supposed to be plug-n-play. Whilst I can connect a mouse and keyboard OK, it does not recognize the monitor. I'm assuming that using a docking station is the only way it can be done, but does anyone know if this laptop even supports it? The hub has both VGA and HDMI connectors, but the screen does not get a signal from either of them and Windows does not find the display either. Are there any tricks to setting this up?

Thanks.

The specs of your machine is

           https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06701975

It has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) port You can use compatible USB-C docks such as HP SUB-C G5 dock to connect to your machine.

Is your current dock compatible with your HP Envy computer ?

Regards.

My docking station was bought on eBay and stated that it was compatible with all USB-C interfaces. I an suspecting that it is not compatible, so I will try a HP one instead.
