HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-ae0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My secondary screen does not work. I am connecting using a USB-C to HDMI adapter (I'm not sure if it is compatible). It sometimes works for a few seconds but then stops working. Also, when I connect the cable, my laptop screen flickers and becomes unusable for the first minute or so.

Is this because the drivers on my laptop are not compatible or because the USB-C to HDMI adapter I bought isn't compatible with my laptop? Is there a way to fix this?

@moinmir I'll need the complete model name: HP Spectre X360 Convertible 13-Ae0xx to identify the kind of USB Type-C configuration that has been shipped with your device,
