Elitebook x360 1030 G4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Elitebook x360 1030 G4. I have been using an external monitor in addition to the laptop's own screen for some time, with no difficulties. I would now like to add another monitor.

I have tried various different set-ups, but cannot get the computer to recognise the second monitor. At present, I have: (i) 1 monitor plugged into the laptop's HDMI port. I have tried adding the second using a USB-C to HDMI cable, through both thunderbolt ports, with no luck. I have also tried using a VGA cable (attached to an HP USB-C travel hub), in various permutations  Nothing works.

Am I doing something wrong, or do I need a special displaylink hub? All suggestions gratefully received!

Thank you. I had found that page and tried to set things up accordingly, but no joy!
