External monitor not detected for HP Chromebook x360 - 14b-ca0036nr

Hi ,
We are trying to connect HP Chromebook x360 - 14b-ca0036nr to external monitor , we tried various HDMI cables and different monitors , external monitor was not detected.  It would be great to get help as this one is used my kid  for his school work.

It has

• 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (5 Gb/s signaling rate, Power Delivery 3.0, DisplayPort™ 1.2);
• 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A (Data Transfer Only);
• 1 headphone/microphone combo

It does not have HDMI port, how do you connect it to an external monitor (HDMI) ?

You can use USB-C port a monitor which has USB-C connection.

We are using a USB-C with a HDMI converter to connect the monitor and it doesn’t work .
